True Bromance
Elon Musk and Donald Trump had once been a legendary duo - until the day they weren’t. Nobody remembered the cause, but the fallout was undeniable. One Tuesday, Elon left for Mars, done with Earth, done with everything.
Before he left, there was a last, awkward encounter. Trump, ever the man on the move, pulled up to a Tesla charging station in his own Tesla, the car’s display reminding him, “Payment required: Please pay Elon.” Trump just sighed and tapped his card, staring at the charging cable as if it were a lifeline to something he’d lost.
As Elon’s rocket roared into the sky, Trump stood by his car, watching the fiery trail fade into the distance. He didn’t shout or throw anything. He just stood there, hands in his pockets, feeling the emptiness of the moment.
On Mars, Elon worked tirelessly. He tended hydroponic gardens, watched plants grow under artificial sunlight, and built a thriving colony. He became President of Mars, but happiness eluded him. Even as the colony flourished, something was missing. He’d sit in the greenhouse, looking at Earth through the dome, wondering if Trump ever thought of him.
Years passed. One day, Elon felt a strange ache in his chest—a sense that something was wrong. At that very moment, Trump lay on his deathbed on Earth, surrounded by family. Elon, without hesitation, boarded his fastest rocket and returned home.
He arrived just in time. Trump, weak but still sharp, turned to him as he entered the room. For a long moment, they just looked at each other.
Finally, Elon spoke, his voice soft and raw. “You were like a father to me,” he confessed. “I missed you every day.”
Trump smiled faintly. “I missed you too, Elon. I should have said it sooner.”
And in that quiet room, their friendship found peace. Elon stayed by Trump’s side until the end.
At the funeral, Elon stood among the crowd, his presence a silent tribute. When it was over, he found himself on a beach at nighttime. The waves lapped at the shore, and the sky was clear. He looked up, and there, shining brightly among the stars, was Mars.
Standing alone on the sand, Elon finally felt the weight of everything, the loss, the love, the loneliness. He gazed at the red dot in the sky, knowing that no matter how far he traveled, some things would always be out of reach.
And for the first time in a long time, he let himself feel it all.
